These controls are for Outboard engines and can be mounted on the Port or Starboard side. These controls feature an ignition stop switch and lanyard stop switch only
SIDE MOUNT REMOTE CONTROL
8M0178527 - This control is for manual start models and has a 20 ft. (6.1 m) harness. The control features a Toggle switch for remote shut off of the engine. Fits current pull style throttle, manual start Mercury/Mariner 6/25 HP, 30/40 HP (2 cylinder- U.S. origin), 40 (3 & 4 cylinder) to 45 HP, 8/9.9, 15/20 HP FourStroke models (1996 and newer), and Force 25 HP (3 cylinder). For MY2005 and newer 8/9.9 FourStroke Outboards SAE T/S cables must be used. For 8/9.9 FourStroke engines generation change above S/N OR192772 and 15/20 FourStroke engines will use GEN I cables. GEN I cables must be used on other engines
